Set up Auto Pay for monthly bill discounts FAQs

Auto Pay lets the Account Owner  and Account Managers set up a recurring, automatic monthly payment for your mobile bill.

No matter which Verizon mobile plan you have, you can use Auto Pay and paper-free billing to pay your bill. If you're on an eligible plan, you can get a monthly Auto Pay and paper-free billing discount. TT

When you sign up for Auto Pay you’ll receive an enrollment confirmation message communicating your automatic payment date.

When you use Auto Pay and paper-free billing to pay your bill, you can get a $10/month discount TT for each line that has 1 of these plans:

• Unlimited Plus, Unlimited Welcome
• 5G Get More*, 5G Do More*, 5G Play More*, 5G Start*, Welcome Unlimited*, One Unlimited for iPhone*
• Get More Unlimited*, Do More Unlimited*, Play More Unlimited*, Just Kids*

You can get a $5/month discount for each line that has 1 of these plans:

• Above Unlimited*, Beyond Unlimited*, Go Unlimited*, 5 GB Single Phone Plan*.

For the Verizon Plan Unlimited* the discount is:

• $5 for a single line plan
• $10 account-level discount when you have 2 or more plans

*These plans are no longer available to be added to your account.

Yes, you can make a one-time payment virtually any time, even if you're set up for Auto Pay.

If you make a one-time payment for the full amount of your balance, your next Auto Pay payment will be skipped. If your one-time payment is less than the balance due, the remainder will be paid via Auto Pay.

Keep in mind:

• If you make a one-time payment near your Auto Pay date and your automatic payment is already in process, you'll see a message letting you know that making the payment may result in a duplicate payment.
• If you're getting the $5 or $10/month Auto Pay discount TT and you use a credit card to make a one-time payment online or through the My Verizon app, the removed discount will appear as a charge on your next bill.

Account Owners and Account Managers can set up Auto Pay in My Verizon and follow the onscreen prompts. Or in the My Verizon app, tap the Menu icon in the top-left of your screen, tap Bill and follow the prompts.

Note:

• If you select a payment date that's the 29th, 30th or 31st, your payment will be made the following day for months that don't include that date.
• If you're eligible for and want to get the $5 or $10/month per line Auto Pay and paper-free billing discount TT on a standard account, you can use the Verizon Visa Card, a debit card, or a bank account as your automatic payment method. If you use a credit card other than the Verizon Visa Card, you won't receive the discount, even if your plan is eligible.

You can make a one-time payment with your Verizon Gift Card anytime. The amount will be applied to your account, and the next payment made through Auto Pay will be reduced to reflect the Gift Card amount.

To make a one-time payment with a Gift Card while set up for Auto Pay go to the Pay your bill page. When asked to pick a payment method, choose the Gift card option.

You can change your Auto Pay payment method any time in My Verizon. Just go to the Manage your payment settings page and select Edit next to the payment method.

To change your Auto Pay payment date anytime, either online in My Verizon or on your smartphone with the My Verizon app, go to the Manage your payment settings page and select Edit next to the payment date.

Important: If your next payment is due before your new withdrawal date, be sure to make your next payment manually.

You can pause an automatic payment in My Verizon up to the day before it's set to post.

You can't cancel a payment on the day it's set to post.

To stop an automatic payment go to the Manage your payment settings page, tap Pause or turn off and select Pause.

Auto Pay won't make a payment until your payment date for the next month.

Note: Only your upcoming payment is paused, and Auto Pay resumes as usual on your payment date the following month.

To turn off Auto Pay in My Verizon, go to the Manage your payment settings page, select Pause or turn off and choose Turn off.
