Slow Wi-Fi Connection? Try these steps for help.

Are you using a Fios Quantum Gateway? If yes, then check your wireless device to see which router network you are using. The Fios Quantum Gateway offers two networks:
    • 2.4 Ghz has greater range and works with most printers and smartphones. It has a max speed of 75 Mbps
    • 5 Ghz is faster and better for streaming HD video and gaming
    • Some devices can only connect to 2.4 GHz
    • Newer devices can connect to both, but only connect to one at a time
    • If you tend to travel often with your device and it has both networks saved it will usually connect to the 2.4 GHz network as you approach your network. This is due to its longer range and generally higher signal strength as you get closer to the router
  • 4
If signal strength seems low, you may want to use 2.4 GHz to it provide greater range
