With Verizon prepaid, you pay ahead for the service you want each month. There's no credit check, no deposit, no annual contract. Our current prepaid plans let you:

• Manage your account anytime with My Verizon.
• Save with our Auto Pay discount and earn Loyalty Discounts too.
• Renew automatically on the same date every month.

We offer 4 Verizon prepaid smartphone plans which include:

• Verizon's award-winning 4G LTE/5G.
• Unlimited Talk & Text to the US.
• Talk, text, and data to and from Mexico & Canada.
• Unlimited Text to over 200 countries and territories.
• Up to 25 GB of premium Mobile Hotspot on Unlimited plans.
• Access to optional features.* Some at no added cost and others by subscription.

Current prepaid phone plans $45 and higher are eligible for a Loyalty Discount of $5/month after 3 months, or $10/month after 9 months.

• Talk & Text - As low as $30/month with $5/month Auto Pay discount. Starts at $35/month.
• 15 GB - As low as $35/month with $10/month Auto Pay discount. Starts at $45/month.
• Unlimited - As low as $50/month with $10/month Auto Pay discount, and as low as $30/month for an additional line with $10/month Auto Pay discount and $20 multi-line discount. Starts at $60/month.
• Unlimited Plus - As low as $60/month with $10/month Auto Pay discount, and as low as $40/month for an additional line with $10/month Auto Pay discount and $20 multi-line discount. Starts at $70/month.

Prepaid service is available throughout the US. If you use your prepaid phone on a call outside of the prepaid coverage area, roaming* charges may apply. Domestic voice roaming is billed at $0.20/minute. Data is not available while roaming.

Use Verizon prepaid services when you travel with daily TravelPass or monthly Global Choice.

*Depending on your device, you may see the word "Extended" or "Roaming" at the top of your device, when the device is roaming domestically. If your device doesn't support showing "Extended" or "Roaming," refer to our coverage maps.

Your prepaid service includes:

• Voicemail*
• Caller ID and Caller ID Blocking
• Call Waiting
• Call Forwarding
• 3-Way Calling
• Free Visual Voicemail for iPhone®
• Wi-Fi Calling

*Voicemail may not be available in some areas. Voice mailboxes not set up within 60 days will be canceled. Airtime and other charges are incurred when using voicemail from your mobile phone. Mobile to Mobile Calling minutes don't apply to voicemail retrievals, and you'll be charged to maintain your connection to voicemail. Verizon is not responsible for missed messages or deletions of saved messages from your voice mailbox.

Prepaid phone plan discounts – Current prepaid phone plans and select older prepaid plans enrolled in Auto Pay are eligible to save $5 or $10 per month.

You can also earn a monthly Loyalty Discount ($5 or $10) simply by keeping your prepaid line active. Loyalty Discounts are available on current prepaid plans for phones. Multi-line discount of $20 is available to smartphone lines 2-10 on Unlimited or Unlimited plus plan.

Multi-line discounts:

• Save $20/month when you add a prepaid smartphone plan to your existing prepaid account:
  • The first line on your account can be a phone or data-only device.
  • Each smartphone line you add gets the $20/month discount.
  • Auto Pay and Loyalty Discounts are also available but cannot be combined.
• Save $30/month when you add a prepaid data plan to your existing prepaid account:
  • The first line on your account can be a phone or data-only device.
  • Each data-only line you add gets the $30/month discount.
  • Auto Pay and Loyalty Discounts don't apply to data-only lines.

Yes, you get 5G access with our current prepaid plans*.

5G Ultra Wideband* is only included with these prepaid plans:

• $70 Prepaid Unlimited Plus smartphone plan
• 100 GB Prepaid Data Plan
• 150 GB Prepaid Data Plan

Note: Talk & Text plan is limited to 2G data speeds only.

*5G Ultra Wideband access requires a 5G-capable device inside the 5G Ultra Wideband Coverage Area. Includes 4K UHD streaming on capable devices.

No. The prepaid $35 Talk & Text plan is limited to 2G speed. If you have a 5G-capable device and you're in a 5G coverage area, upgrade to a current prepaid plan to get 5G speed.

Loyalty Discounts are monthly per line savings you earn by maintaining an active prepaid phone plan. If you're enrolled in Auto Pay you can't earn Loyalty Discounts. Here's how to earn Loyalty Discounts:

• Renew your plan 3 times – Save $5/month (starting the fourth month)
• Renew your plan 9 times – Get another $5/month discount for savings of $10/month (starting the tenth month)

Loyalty Discounts aren't available for either:

• Prepaid data plans.
• Prepaid plans priced below $45/month.

*With our current plans, Auto Pay discounts and Loyalty discounts can't be combined.

No. You only lose the Loyalty Discount if your line of service is canceled. A temporary suspension for a missed payment doesn't disqualify you.

If you've made the required number of monthly payments on your account, you still get the Loyalty Discount on your next monthly payment.

Even if your old plan didn't qualify for a Loyalty Discount, we count those months of service toward a Loyalty Discount for your new plan.

Note: When you switch to a new plan, you won't get the old plan's discounts or promotions. With our current plans, Auto Pay discounts and Loyalty discounts can't be combined.

Our current prepaid phone plans offer a $10 Auto Pay discount that can't be combined with Loyalty Discounts.

If you've got an older plan with a Loyalty Discount, you can enroll in Auto Pay and get an additional $5/month discount.

Note: Data plans are only eligible for multi-line discounts.

If you've already got a Verizon prepaid account, you get a $30/month discount on every data-only line you add. The first line on your account can be a phone or data-only device.

Note: You can use Auto Pay to make payments for your data-only line, but there's no discount for doing so. Data-only lines aren’t part of our Loyalty Discount program.

Prepaid data plans are available with no contract for:

• Tablets 
• Mobile hotspots 
• Network-capable computers and laptops

Yes, as long as it’s compatible with the Verizon network. You can check compatibility of your device on our Bring your own device page.

If your current device isn’t compatible, you can purchase a no contract mobile hotspot or no contract tablet online.

How much data you need depends on what you do with your connected devices. Here are some examples (not your actual usage):

If you already have a Verizon prepaid plan, see your usage details for actual numbers.

You can change your plan or add data using My Verizon.

Note: Data usage for mobile hotspot devices depends on how many devices are connected to it and what they're doing. Usage could be 30 GBs or more if 3 devices are streaming music or video.

Alway-On Data keeps you online after you’ve used all your high-speed data for the month. We keep you connected at 2G speed (up to 128 kbps) for the rest of your monthly bill cycle.

Always-On Data is included with all monthly plans (not applicable on prepaid unlimited plans).

You can add data if you need to, in My Verizon.

If you use all your high-speed data allowance on your data plan, your data speed will be reduced to 3 Mbps on 5G Ultra Wideband and 600 Kbps on 5G / 4G LTE for the rest of the month.*

• You can't buy more high-speed data on a prepaid data plan.
• You can change your plan to one that includes more data.

The affect on your apps depends on how much data the app uses. Video and audio streaming may be impacted. Calls and texts won't be affected.

*Your data experience will be impacted, but you won't experience any reduction in speed while using Wi-Fi.

Mobile Hotspot* data is included on our current prepaid Unlimited, Unlimited Plus and data** plans:

• $70 Unlimited Plus - 25GB premium Mobile Hotspot
• $60 Unlimited - 5GB Mobile Hotspot
• $45 15GB plan - Mobile Hotspot is taken from your plan allowance
• There's no Mobile Hotspot on our $35 Talk & Text plan

Note: You must have a capable device to use Mobile Hotspot. All data used by devices connected to your Mobile Hotspot counts toward the high-speed data allowance of your prepaid plan.

*Mobile Hotspot access includes Unlimited 5G Ultra Wideband Mobile Hotspot when in a 5G Ultra Wideband location, plus 10 GB of 5G / 4G LTE data, then speeds up to 600 Kbps the remainder of the month. Your data experience and functionality of some data applications such as streaming video or audio may be impacted.
**Only after exceeding high-speed allowance, data speed reduced to 3 Mbps when on 5G Ultra Wideband and 600 Kbps when on 5G / 4G LTE for the rest of the month. Data experience will be impacted.

Verizon Cloud isn't included, but you can add Verizon Cloud in My Verizon.

Yes, you can call 411 from your prepaid phone. A live operator will assist you when you request numbers, addresses and information.

Calls to 411 Search are $2.99/call. If you don't have unlimited minutes, you'll also be charged airtime. You must have a balance on your account to cover the cost of the call.

You can use HD Voice on your prepaid device if it's compatible with HD Voice. The HD Voice feature will automatically be turned on when you activate a compatible phone on your prepaid account.

Yes, you can use your prepaid phone to make calls to international locations at your per-minute rate plus the per-minute charges found on the Prepaid International Calling page.

If you frequently call other countries, we offer:

• Global Choice for our $70 Unlimited Plus Prepaid Plan. Get unlimited calls to one country/month and discounted rates to 220+ countries
• Select prepaid smartphone plans that include calls to Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and the US Virgin Islands
• Prepaid International Calling plans that you can add to your prepaid plan for a set monthly fee

International networks change frequently, so certain locations may not be available at all times. Pricing is subject to change without notice. Unlimited night/weekend minutes don't apply to international calls.
